BLR 18inch Carbine??

I saw a listing recently for a  BLR 308 Win. carbine with a factory 18 inch barrel. It was supposedly a limited factory run in 1976?? I have never seen this config & was just wondering if this is actualy a factory product or something someone did after market. Thanks for any info.....

1976 would be a jap made pre-81 style and to my knowledge all were mfg with 20" barrells.

There are some gunsmiths out there that do good work. Hard to tell from factory sometimes. But I doubt it's factory.
