air gun cleaning kits and tools

i have a couple ?    :?    
-when do u need to clean your air rifle
-what kind of kit do u recomend
-what does dry shooting mean (they say its harmful to ur gun)

also i was wondering what kind of pellet would u use for squrrle huntin
(i have a rws model 94 pellet gun)

As in the other post check out this site for a report on pellets performance.  http://home.hiwaay.net/~ispellan/PelletTest02.html  For squirrels I use the Grow Magnum pellet.

Dry shooting is "dry firing" your pellet rifle without a pellet in it.  Springer type air rifles(your M94 is one) really need the resistance of a pellet to keep the internal springs from breaking.

RWS makes a good cleaning kit for your rifle and the price isn't bad either.  Comes with good directions on cleaning your rifle.  Just remember to NOT over clean your M94.  I wipe down the outside of mine after every hunt or shooting session.  If the session was long then I may also run a patch thru the barrel but I try to keep the solvent use to a minimum.  Lawdog
