Buying a new barrel

Does anyone know if you can buy a NEF barrel and have it sent to you or do you have to send the receiver into H&R?

Welcome, If you read the accessory barrel page, you'll see they only sell barrels that are fitted at the factory. You can buy second hand barrels and fit them yourself tho, see the FAQs and Help sticky, a good place to spend your first few hours here reading.  ;)

tim: I think the guys here on the board can fit the barrels better then the factory sorry to say it but remington has to improve a lot on barrels fitting or pay a gun smith that knows how to fit them.

I think most everyone has been happy with Ilion's fitting and repairs, they've made a few mistakes which is to be expected from the all new crew except for Brian, most of the complaints stem from Madison Customer Support.  :-\
