Alot of robberys are hitting close to home

Twice in the past few months, the service station below me has been broken into. I have been keeping my shotgun very close to my bed now.  If someone breaks into my house, they are going to be very sorry.  When I get my new NRA membership in December, I'm going to take two of those NRA stickers, and put them on the front,back, and basement doors.  So when they see those stickers, they will know this house in packing.

That could either help you or hurt you.  They may see it as a way to get the guns you have by waiting for you to not be home.   Try not to create a reliable pattern of your coming and goings.  Food for thought.

A guy on another gun board I post on just got robbed in his house.
A knock on the door, he opens it, see the business end of a shotgun.

The scumbag knew he was a gun owner. Made him open his safe.
Whacked him in the back of the head and stole about 8 or 9 guns.

Fortunately he was home alone and only received minor damage.

He spent the rest of the night on full alert expecting another visit.

Really sucked!

Buy some alarm signs instead of the NRA.  They might not help, but at least they don't advertise you have weapons there.  Guns are one of the most sought after things in a burglary.

 I don't tell a alot of people I have guns. I already have had a neighbor asked if I have guns, I told her  I don't want to answer that quiestion.

The thing is about  this neighbor is, she is very nosy, and she's a town gossip. So when I brimg my guns in and out of my house, I have to keep them concealed.
