thank god ,,and lesson learned
« on: September 14, 2009, 04:44:25 PM »
i had my court appearance today for my little fray about the bully at walmart....
after the 4th call for any witnesses to come forward the judge dismissed all charges,,with some comment about haveing a lot to do an not much time left to do it...boy ,,when my attourney looked at me an said mr. marks you are free to go...a huge wt,,came off my shoulders... i will in the future not allow my temper to
overload my rear as to similar situations...in other wrds my mind will direct my reactions...
yall have a great day ,,i sure am...slim
psspending this time watching folks constantly being brought in for similar charges...from theft to drugs to dui an everything you can imagine...this has been an eye opening experience as to the way some people choose to live...i guess the only thing i can do is say there,,,, but for the grace of god [an some proper raising ]go i...
 its pitiful...

SLIM. I truly hope you have learned from this my friend. Nothing unmanly about avoiding a fist fight that is not necessary, and yours was not necessary. If a mans back is up against the wall, thats different, but the smart thing is to walk away if possible. POWDERMAN.  ;D ;D

yep powderman...especially if that man is 62 an niether shoulder works anymore...but even before then it was done in the woods an more contest than anything else ..if it had to be done...i just plain blew this whole situation...but my father knows im not the smartest one of his children...im like that mule in the story...father had to whack me with a stick to get me to understand about being old...all in his good  time..

like ive said my adjustment to getting old has just been hard..but i have found much better ways to take issue with someone acting as this man did ,,than fist... so necessity forced me to learn how to let them beat thierself... this in the modern day with everything being taped an such...live an learn slim

Good on you Slim.  The sprearience will no doubt be invaluable to you in future encounters.  I've had my day in court a couple of times and it taught me to think twice, or even thrice before doing anything that might put me on the wrong side of the "man."

Glad you got through the court thing OK Slim.

I hate bullies as much as you do....I know exactly how you felt.   Walk away with a great big grin and don't say a thing, hard to do, but in the end even if that makes them so mad they come after you, it looks better in court that way.  There are a ton of things in your favor when your walking away and not speaking at all when they do come after you.  At least the bully might be surprised should you decide to defend yourself unexpectedly while walking away
Either way....you can still get your shoulder tore up though.  ;)

Glad you got to just go home from court.

Jim
