Savage "Striker" question
« on: September 05, 2009, 02:25:47 AM »
I didn't know exactly where to post this, but since the action apears to be much like the Savage 110 I figured this may be the place.

I haven't hanlded one in person, but I'm looking at them online.  Could a Savage Striker be readily converted to left handed?  It looks like the handle could be moved to the other side of the bolt by a competand gunsmith, but would the action work with the bolt rotating the other way?

No, the bolt has to turn in the proper direction for cocking, so with a RH bolt it must turn counter clockwise to cock.  These are just regular Savage actions on a pistol stock.  Larry

And probably a right hand port.  Larry
