Anti-incumbency in 2010 and 2012
« on: July 22, 2009, 05:21:22 AM »
Assuming that there is no miracle forthcoming from the republicans, I believe the best thing to do is to work against incumbents during the 2010 and 2012 elections.

How these people voted in the House and Senate is public, that should decide if they get your vote in the next elections.

No, I'm proposing anti-incumbency to light a fire under all of them.

I hear the frustration and anger and can't fault you for it.
Perhaps at a calmer time , consider keeping those few good ones( there aren't many) and not cut your nose to spite the face ;)

My thoughts are forget about any parties for this next congressional election, if there is anyone in Congress or the Senate that has not voted for any of this crap, including the first bail outs, vote for them.  If you belong to a party like Republican, and your representive voted for any of this garbage and is talking about a "bigger tent"...vote for a Democrat if they are real conservative and have not voted for this stuff (there are a FEW conservative Dems) same deal if your a Democrat, vote your bum out and don't be afraid to vote for a Rep if they are real conservative...and if you have an independent that is better and might win, do that too if you feel that guy is better.   Main thing is we send a message to Congress no matter what party, and turn them upside down same as in 94...it doesn't solve all the problems, but it ties them up good, which ties up the president as well.  I would like to see Congress turned upside down and see it on the news and make things very hard for them.  Then in 2012...do it again.  I'm seeing signs of people getting fed up even more than just before 94, I think this is going to be a big deal in 2010.  If your a member of a party, you have to walk away to make this happen in most cases.  There are people in Congress worried about their jobs now, and they should be.  Also see some infighting among both large political parties...this is a good thing.  We somehow need to tie the hands of the executive office and the legislative branch and the best way to do that is change the seats and put them in a position where NOTHING gets done.....which is better than any piece of legislation they will ever write.

We need to run all of them out of office and start over again with politicians who are responsible to their constituents back home.  Democrat and Republican politicians are as alike as two crap sandwiches on moldy rye bread.

While I am sure there is a few who deserve and need to stay in office, and have been doing the right thing, I don't know who they are.  They definitely are not the Alaska delegation.  We need to totally clean house, both Senators and our sole Representative.

I have a feeling Senator Lisa Murkowski is short for the senate.  She is the next one we vote on.  We already have a replacement sitting on the sidelines.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

We have senators Shelby and Sessions, can't vote them out.  My representative is Mike Rogers, can't vote him out either.  So far they have voted the way I've wanted.  They all voted against both stimulus packages, last fall and Obama's.  We have to vote on a new Governor next year though.
