Nobody posted yet today on the Montana hunting board, so I guess I will.

Another scorcher today here in Cut Bank today---81 degrees with 44% humidity.

Built some sabots for my cannon.

Looked high and low for some screws for Southpaw's Golf ball holder. Didn't find them until this evening when I went and got something else, totally un related to screws.

Talked to my Dad last night on the phone.  He said he thought something was up because he got this Conservation license last week.  Hum they didn't post the results until yesterday.  Dad is always pretty cool and reserved, but if you listened you could hear just touch of excitement I his voice.

They haven't posted the antelope draws yet. That's what I am waiting on.

I get pretty busy now during the day.... checking the back of my eyelids before heading off to my second job.  You know, my wife was surprized when I found a second job at night.  We have 9.5% unemployed here in the Flathead Valley, roughly that is 4,764 people out of work in a population of 44,000 give or take a few.  So I do 18 hours mon - fri early morning, then later in the day scored another 32 mon - fri working for another company.

The nice thing is that both jobs are mon - fri which leaves outdoor shooting time for the week-ends, hunting mostly week-ends and lucky me, both employers willing to give a few days extra for hunting  ;D ;D ;D

And mine .... Retirement that is ..  :)

The valley sure has changed in the past 60 years . My Grandparents retired there in 1943 . spent a bit of summers up there with them in the late 40's early 50's  The lived up the creek from the Mountian View (Brook ?)school and about 5 miles from Lake Blaine.  Lots of fond memories of berry picking and haying with the neighbors.
