45-70 recoil and vx-1

i think ill go with a standard vx-1, 2x7 on my 45-70...that way, if i sell /trade it later, ill have a good all around scope to put on just about anything else...

will the vx-1 standard, not shotgun/muzzleloader, handle the 45-70 recoil ok???...will be shooting factory ammo, 305 grain....

It'll work fine with any factory ammo, even Buffalo Bore, although your shoulder may not!!!   ;D

They have good warranties so no worry either way.  I had a Mark 4 break and they are fixing for free.
