After my last post about sighting troubles with my 45-70 BC I finally got a chance to shoot her with the old stocks. Holy Cow, she shoots like when I bought her, just faster, and more lethal

It would appear that the Monte Carlo stock did indeed put my head to high on the rear stock to properly use the rear sight. Man am I glad I didn't sell the Walnut Hardware.
Thanks for the advice, and to the gentleman that said the rear stock was incorrect. You were spot on. Happy days are here again!
