Now here is a topic that should be able to hit 5 or 6 pages easy...

I have lots of favorite quotes I have written down over the years many are my own some are not and I even have a few bible versus I like... How about you all? lets here them.

When facing execution with an axe after a battle, an icelandic soldier in the 13. century resided this:

Thou shalt kling to keel
cold is the sea

at some point each shall die.

It is said that when he spoke the last sentence he knelt down and and drooped his head for the axe.

Someone could probably translate this better but the stoic courage of this man has always fascinated me.

This story can be found in the Icelandic Sagas.
I sport a hefty 11-87 for my benefit as a proud waterfowler......

On the radio a while back there was a story of a British Airways pliot who made a wrong turn on the tarmac in Berlin . The German air trafic controler ask him if he had ever been to Berlin before in a very smart aleck tone . In a very calm voice the Britt said only once , but didn't land only dropped his cargo and returned to England .
