Remington model four

I just inherited a model four in 7mm express. That is 280 remington.  I got allmost 100 new remington brass, A full box of Hornaday 139 gr. bulletsw. A set of RCBS small base dies, A lee factory crimp dies. A case lentgth cutter Lee hand held cutter. And a full box of 20 rem. core lock 140 grain loaded rounds. The rifle is about 85% has weaver mounts and a sling mounted on it. What should I ask for the whole set up?

Don't be too optimistic, as I was, about the later Remington 7400 & Model Four's resale value - even in 99%+ condition.

The hard part's going to be finding someone who'll even want it, regardless of the pricing - since, despite the ongoing gun buying furor, there is an extremely low demand (actual buyers ILO tire-kickers) for any late-model Remington CF Auto.

For example, in selling as-NIB specimen(s), I went from $395, scoped, to $300 with no takers - with FFL dealers actually refusing to accept one as a trade on anything else.
I was told that they (the dealers) already had several that weren't selling, so why add another to their stock ?

You might consider putting it on one of the gun auction sites, with good pics - like gun broker or auction arms - where at least it'll go to the highest bidder.

It's an interesting sounding rifle to me, if the barrel is marked 7mm Express. What I'd offer would disappoint you.

i would keep it and use it.
You inherited it and you may want to pass it to someone else in the family some time later.  One of your kids, nephew/ neice, grandkid....
While you may not have a sentimental value to the rifle someone else may.
One of my favorite guns is an Iver Johnson Champion in 20 ga. that one of my Dad's friends gave me for my first hunting trip.  I have already passed other guns down to cousins and friends kids but i will hold on to that one for a long long time.  I have had it for 30 years so far.
