Mannlincher stock sets and prices?
« on: May 25, 2009, 02:12:55 AM »
Does any of the stock manufacturers make a new mannlincher stock for the NEF. I would love to get one for my 45/70. I wouldn't mind one for the buffalo classic rifle ;D but I think that would take an entire tree ;D

If anyone has purchased one of these reproductions what did you do for a end cap?

thanks

I just ordered a Mannlincher from gunstocks along with a roll over stock for my 45-70.  I will let you know as soon as it comes in.  The manlincher was $45.00.

Are they supplying a endcap for the forarm or are they just rounded?

Yankee is yours for the 22"bbl or the 32" Classic I'll have to call GSI one day and see about one for a 32"?? As far as end caps go it would have to be a custom job but very doable Track of the Wolf and Dixie Gun works sell bands and caps that you could modify the cap and the wood to make for a nice fit and look. I do wonder if the bbl harmonics would be problemed (is that a word?) in the 32" with a bbl band. Yankee you'll love that Roll over I got 2 of them and they are great for target and PD shooting. Kurt

I have a 22" Handi.  I want to see the forearm before I decide on the what to use for a cap or band.  It should be a fun project and not to extended in time.  I hope to take it to RLB '09 in August.
