357 handi
« on: May 13, 2009, 05:12:37 AM »
went to the gunshop yesterday looking for a 357 handi with sights and all they had were the new synthetic stocked sb1s without sights for about 250 out the door.  Was talking with the guy there and he said that he had an sb1 with sights but someone had broke the scope rail screws off in their holes and had cut 2 inches off of the barrel and he only wanted $125 for it.  Needless to say i bought it and it shoots minute of rocks and jackrabbits so far.

Ya done good!! ;D  The parts are worth more than that.  It sounds like the broken screws could be removed and replaced.  Was the barrel recrowned or just cut off?

Tinkering is a large part of the fun with Handis.  Good luck and enjoy it.  It sounds like you may have stolen a good one.
