I won't get into the what is the best or worst. I have some pretty clunky stuff that is as repeatable as a real high $ scope.
Travis, if you happen to have any Bushnell's or B&L scopes that are banner or Elite lines, that have blown up PM or email me.
I have a 2-6 Elite that looks like the gorilla that I got it from used vise grips and and a pipe wrench on it. It is my test scope that goes on some thumpers. About 12 years and a check up every once in a while and it has yet to fail. Buddy had a Leupold 2X on his 50 Alaskan and it broke. I loaned him this one for over a year, it came home none the worse for wear.

My dad's old Leupold, 6x fixed, has been dropped off a horse landing on a rock in Colorado, dropped from a deer stand in Texas, and basically has been worn and torn but it has never needed to be re-sighted. And this dates back to the '70's. He checks it every fall and still on target. He once said he hasn't seen the adjustment knobs in years, hasn't had to. I killed my one and only mulie in '89 with it at approximately 370 yards. A little hold over and an effective lung hit. Hard to beat that that durability.

jsh,

My last one was a Banner 4-12, and when I cranked up the power, the friggin' crosshairs rotated! I was pissed. Last time I tried to use my Bushnell binos, (the big ones) I couldn't see the lines in a rifle target at 25 yards. The elite series seems to be working well for folks, but I've been bitten enough.
