Early goose is only about two weeks away and I'm way behind the power curve... too busy at work. I've bought my license and stamp and that's about it... how's everyone else doin?

For me the anticipation and preparation for the season is
almost
as much fun as the hunts themselves. I love this time of year. Here in Minnesota there's a subtle change in the weather about now--a little bit cooler and dryer air. I relish it when it comes...it means the season is just around the corner...well really 5 weeks away. This summer I build a wooden boat. My wife says I already had a duck boat, but I'm an ardent supporter of the idea that a man can not have too many shotguns, decoys or duckboats. I've always wanted to build a wooden boat so I did it this summer. I'm in the middle of painting it and putting the final touches on. I also have to buy, make or round up a dozen or two decoy anchors. And of course the highly enjoyable job of sorting and inspecting all the decoys. This will be my fun for the upcoming weeks.

buckshotliam; How about posting a pic of the boat you built. I'd like to see it.
