Rossi 62SA

Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus

I think Remington still makes the 572 pump.  Had one as a kid.  Tried to wear it out, but couldn't.

I have several 22LR pump guns...

If you want a Rossi, I have an early one acquired in a trade, get an early one, because their quality deteriorated towards the end.

The Taurus copy of the Wichester 62A seems to do well for people. I don't have one, and I don't want one.

I do have quallity 22 LR pump guns though. I have a Winchester model 62A made in 1949, and two Winchester model 61's made  in 1937, and 1952, that I would kill over because of their quality.

I have two Winchester model 63's that are the best 22 LR automatics ever made.

There are also the Remington model 12, and model 121 pump guns, in 22 LR, that are very high quality also. They are, like the Winchesters, discontinued, but still ever so viable.

It looks like finding a used, but in good condition, 22 LR rifle in a pump gun, is the best way to go.

I should warn you though, quality 22 LR pump guns don't come cheap...!

I would say if you can find a decent Remington get it, I dont know anything about the Henry pumps but everything ive heard about ther lever guns have has been favorable, I just bought a Taurus 72C-SS last fall Its one nice hunting .22 for the money!  (FOB North West Alaska for $269), i havent had any problems, the fella at the gun shop here keeps selling out of them and the majority had been the 72's in .22 mag I disremember seeing any 62's in .22lr there.

I have an old Rem 572 ( 1950's ) bought it used years ago. This is a nice handling & shooting gun.
I like the older Rem's, because the stocks are slimmer & less bulky. Still see them at gun shows at a good price.

Yes it is, BUT, it has problems and isn't nothing like there levers for smoothness ect.!

If i was getting another pump 22, it would be the Remington!

Agree.   The one I have left was bought in 1984 and is still new in the box.   Bought them to replace the wifes worn out Winchester 1906 and my 1890 I wanted to retire, and was not disappointed in the one I shot (ex wife never used hers).   I don't shoot 22 rimfires anymore since I switched to the 17's when they first came out.
