Lee Keyed 1oz SLUG
« on: March 25, 2009, 10:23:41 AM »
Hello all:

has anyone tried the Lee 1oz keyed slug in 2 3/4 shells with blue dot powder, if so what was your load and how did you like it

                                                                Thanks copdills

I have this same mold and used it a few times, I found accuracy not overly great at longer distances but worked well enough up close.
I will not give my load but I used a load for 1 oz of shot.
I think I might be able to get a little better accuracy trying different loads but I do not have a large selection of powder around me.

I mostly use the lee slugs for use during a deer drive or a finishing shot if needed or when I do not want to shoot a $3.00 slug.

Thanks rickyp, I have had several people tell me you can use standard load with the same weight oz shot or slug, my Lymans shotshell book should be here by the 31st
