20 ga. 357 combo
« on: April 04, 2009, 02:36:14 PM »
Walked into a store Friday and there on the shelf was a used combo, 20 guage and 357.  I already have a 357 barrel, so I wasn't extremely interested until the shop keeper told me it was a consignment, and that two people had wanted the 357 barrel.  I wanted especially the receiver and stock set.  A few minutes later, deal made.  He called the barrel want to buy guy, and between us we made a deal, and I got my receiver and stock set and 20 guage barrel for an amount I'm ashamed to publish.

You guys were right.  This Handi thing is addictive.  I had the 357 on my 243 receiver, and it was running me nuts seeing that barrel laying there all by himself.  Now I've got a loose shotgun barrel.  How will I ever make this work out even?

I'd have tried for the whole package and reamed the .357 out to max. and put it on the SB2 frame my .357 lives on now and put the older .357 mag. barrel on the SB1 frame and I'd be a super happy puppy ;D

You forget, I already had one more barrel than I had frame.  And my local gun shop went under, so If I buy via classified I will have to have it shipped 50 mi. away.  Somehow I will make this all work out.  Eventually.

By the way.  I found some max brass not long ago, and have found it chambers with a 180 gr. cast without reaming.  To be safe I would probably have to cut about .010 off it.
