Accu-Stock
« on: April 01, 2009, 03:15:24 PM »
Savage has come out with a new stock that has aluminum bedding that offers greater stability. They call it the Accu-Stock and will be offered on new rifles. They will also be sold as an aftermarket item. Has anyone gotten their hands on one yet? How does it work? I saw one a special-order item from a big box store for a little over $300.00. That seemed a little steep, but they system looks sound.

That said, my Savages shoot so well that I cant see buying it as an aftermarket stock for them, but for a reported extra $10.00 premium, I would buy a new rifle with one!

I'd probably go for it if it was only $10 extra, primarily because their current/former synthetic stocks have roughly the same structural integrity & stiffness as a Ziploc bag.
