fiocchi aero slugs

Recently I posted a bit about receiving a Winchester 1200 (smoothbore) slug gun as a gift.  That gift has turned into a bit of a winter project for me. While it won't be my primary deer gun, I do plan on taking it out a few times next season.

I took the gun to the range the other day and had good results (out to 75 yards) with Winchesters Winlite reduced recoil slugs.

Having been shooting saboted slugs for years (and admittedly a bit rusty on the foster/full bore slug offerings) I started doing a bit more research and came across the Fiocchi Aero slugs. I know the slugs have available for quite sometime and wondered if anyone here has any first hand experience with them.

Specifically, I wondered if the attached wad design would translate into better/more consistent accuracy and what the on game performance has been for users.

I tried them but it was out of a rifled bore.  I put them in the affordable slug catagory which I define as less than a $1 each.  Of all the affodable slugs that I tried, they shoot the best.  They even out performed the Brenneke KO's.  At thier price ($8 for a box of 10), they are definately worth a try.

I shot these before I had my cyl bore barrel threaded and got about 2" at 50 yards.  I shot it with an imp cyl after and got 3" groups.  I like the attahced wad, either with these or with Brenekke.  Also really liked the B&P slugs from eabco.com.

I have been using these in a 20 Ga. rifled rem 1100 for several years. Aside from the fact that they do lead up the barrel a bit which is fairly easy to remove, They make this 20 ga like a rifle 2-3 groups at 100 yds.They put the animal on the ground fast to.Can't beat them for the money
