H&R Ultra
« on: February 10, 2009, 10:11:32 AM »
Has anyone have a good load for a 25-06 ultra using Sierra 90Gr, HPBT?  It's going to be digested in a 26" Heavy Barrel H&R Ultra (factory Barrel).  Just spent the has two hours lapping the rings and have the new brass ready to load. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry no I dont.

But IMR 4350 and 4831 are top performers in this caliber.

Personally I like IMR 3031,IMR4064 and IMR4350. Sierra shows 11 diffrent loads for your bullet . I use the 4350 for my 117gr load and 4064 for my 75gr loads haven't loaded any 90gr though. Kurt

I will need to get off by behind and start loading.  I will start the adventure today and see what I can come up with. Will post some targets and thoughts when I'm done. I can not believe how much the cost has gone up on these rifles.  You can get a savage 200 for $15.00 dollars more and still have somewhat interchangeability on the barrels,  But I truly like the single shot H&R's. My gun safe tells me so. One last question, does everybody spend as much time reading all the neat stuff on Graybeards as I do?  LOL
