No hurry for the bell guys the OL said she needs her bell rung during this cold spell to keep her warm ;D. The things a man has to do 8).
The sporty has the 13 to 1's so I run the best stuff but not AV yet. We can get the 97 from the pump at a station north of town but I just run the 93 for now and it does good.  The temp here just dropped to 23 overnight so we missed the cold stuff they thought was going to roll in
Deer hunting is mostly fun then you shoot one and it turns to work.

13 -1!!!  Man! Can see that it would be rough on starters. Wondering have you ever tried running it on racing gas like VP or Cam 2, etc.?  93 unleaded is cuttin' it close. Thinking about back in the day when there was Sunoco 260 - and it was easy to find - wish we had it now.
Don't let that bike get the best of ya - Like horses, the ones that can really take your breath away, are always the ones that are the biggest PITA.

GRIMJIM, get a bike jack and get those tires up off the concrete and put 10lbs. over for winter months, change the oil and of course Stabil in the tank.

change the oil

Steve, My manual wants me to do this....It wants me not only to change the oil but to also change out that new oil again before the riding season. (I don't think so)
I run a good quality oil (golden spectro 4 20w50) and it usually has around 2,500 miles on it. I start the year by doing my chain maintenance (not too bad with the newer "0" ring chains) and then do a full warmup to include a short ride then change the oil which generally happens in March. I change the oil again when it really starts to get hot in Late July or early Aug and it again has around 2500 miles of use.
The shop thinks I am crazy...they say 6,000miles (I dont think so!)

I change oil to dinosaur oil in fall(when I'm putting it up for winter) and use Amsoil every summer.
