175gr RN in 7-30 Waters?
« on: February 07, 2009, 02:17:58 PM »
I've just loaded up some 175gr RN for my 7-30 waters carbine;  Curious if anyone else has tried these and/or if anyone has hunted with them.

Thanks.

Nate

Thats pretty heavy for the 7x30. I wonder if those bullets will open up at the velocity that they'll be traveling? I used those bullets in a 7 mag on Moose years ago and they worked fine. I use mainly 120 gr. BT's and Hdy V-Max in my 7x30. Also the 139's. Dave
Do you speak German? Well I don't speak Spanish so maybe you'd better learn English.

i tried 175 and 160 on steel targets with good luck . On game the ssp bullets worked good as they are made for the capablities of the round they are loaded in .
If ya can see it ya can hit it !
