I was surprised to receive a .270 Handi in a purchase, that was dissassembled for shipping.
I hate to say it pal, but someone saw you coming...
The rifle is obviously broken in half and beyond repair.
Tell ya what, I can probably salvage a few parts out of it. I'll take it off your hands for... say... $50.

Take the fore end off the barrel. One screw on the bottom.
Look at the bottom of the barrel at the chamber end. there's a rectangular piece of metal there. the front of that metal, the part toward the muzzle, has a half moon shaped cutout in it.
Now look at the front of the receiver from the top down. At the very front you will see a pin running the width of the receiver. the half moon fits against the backside of that pin. Then close the action!
But just leave it in 2 pieces and ship it to me!
