480 ruger again
« on: August 27, 2003, 03:11:12 PM »
I posted this thread a while ago and then it did not happen. Any who a tech from a bullet mfgr. e-mailed me today that the 480 ruger is a go for a m94. Now I dropped this q. on him prior to a meeting with some rifle mfgf. and ask him to find out after Win backed out. I know another rumor, but the more it gets around the more its noticed. Time for another cup.

Jim-

The last I saw Winchester had dropped the .480 Ruger from their website.  Legacy Sports Intl. is still advertising the .480 in their M-92 clone with the bolt mounted safety; however, I havn't seen any of the LSI guns in .480 for sale yet.

Still keeping my fingers crossed for a Levergun in .480 Ruger.

I emailed Winchester expressing my interest and concern for the 480. Maybe everyone else interested in this gun should too. It may or may not make a difference but the least we can do is speak up. A lady at Winchester told me there wasn't enough consumer demand/interest to warant the tooling and manufacturing cost to produce this gun in a 480.
