Build your own stock

I was wondering if anyone here has the knowledge or can point me in the direction of a website that explains the process of making laminate blanks. I have made one stock for a crossbow in the past. I had a local woodworking guy put some baltic birch together for me at a cost. I was wondering if anyone has ever done the complete process on their own?
