Would you guys rate a Shakari more valuable, equal, or less than a Buffalo Classic?

I have a chance to buy one that claims to be like new.

Less than.   You are limited to low pressure (trapdoor levels) and it is usually not tapped for a scope mount

I wouldn't, but they aren't made any more, just depends on how much you want one, like any other collectible, different strokes.  ;)

I stopped by my local dealer today to pick up a set of dies and shell holder and was looking throught the racks and seen an H&R Shakari 45/70 for $199.Needless to say its in layaway. It looks like it has been shot very little. No rust or dings in the stock.

WAY TO GO JON!!!!!  I have been looking at one over on Gunbroker.com......seller has a reserve OVER $275,00.....very high I think.  $199.00 is great.  I'd love to find a good one for under $200.00.

Congratulations!! That is a great buy for that price. I doubt there is anyone here that would have knowingly walked away from that deal if he could have afforded it in any way. You did GOOD!!!!....<><....:)
