Shippinh question
« on: January 05, 2009, 07:27:00 PM »

I see in the classified section several people are selling Huntsman Rifles. At the end they are saying ship FFL to FFL.

Am I missing something ? If these are muzzleloaders do they still have to be shipped via FFL? I know these are SB1 frames but if it was the original barrel it would be listed as a muzzleloader.

You can fit a barrel that needs a FFL so when you buy it it has to be registered. So when it is registered to you and you sell it, you need to make the transfer through an FFL or else the Feds will still think it is yours. It works the same for an Encore with a muzzle loading barrel. If a gun can not be made into a modern firearm, then they do not have to be registered through an FFL when sold. With the exception of real old Huntsmans that couldn't be fitted with shotgun barrels and the sidekick which is a muzzleloader only, the Huntsman has to be handled just like any other firearm as far as transfers are concerned.
