I really hate to burst your bubble, but they have been out for several months now - at a higher cost, of course. I have seen them at Walmart back in September, I believe. If I remember correctly their price was on par with the Meijer price you quoted. It has been discussed here already. You are correct about them shooting well and they are at a very reasonable cost - relatively. Ammo costs have went way up across the board as has reloading supplies.
