Has anyone used this rifle to hunt deer and if so what is your opinion?

I have taken my 10FP (LE2) on several hunts this year...

My thoughts are that this thing is not easy to carry around. It is a BEAST. After just a few minutes of walking, it feels like it weighs 30 pounds!

I have yet to shoot at a deer with it but a .308 that shoots sub 1/4-inch groups at a 100yds, I have no doubt that my target will be DRT!

I have seen a couple Bobcats and foxes but I don't kill any wildlife I don't plan on keeping. Plus I can only imagine what that bullet would do to a 20-pound animal.

There's my 2¢

I took my 110FP 30-06 bear hunting last season.  Especially in the thick Canadian bush it's a much longer and heavier rifle than what is ideal, but it's the rifle I have the absolute most confidence in.

The big heavy gun isn't an issue when you are in a stand or a blind.  It's something you'll notice more walking in or out.  The rest of the time it'll just set there on your lap looking cool.

I never got a shot off with my rifle during the hunt, but it was nice to have my rifle that I shoot the most.  It took me 17 minutes to walk as fast as I could to get out of the woods following a trail on that hunt, and that's when the rifle felt heavy, but that's not a very far walk or long time to be carrying a rifle.

The 10/110fp tactical is not a walk-around gun. However, if you are a stand or blind hunter they are great. I have the 110fp in 25/06 and have taken it on stand adjacent to improved pasture where shots can be 250+yds. IT WORKS!!
GOOD LUCK and GOOD SHOOTING!!
IF YOU'RE GONNA GET OLD,YOU BETTER BE TOUGH!! GETTIN' OLD AIN'T FOR SISSIES!!!

I have the 10FP in a custom 260rem in the 24" barrel.  Not a good carry gun.  But I have the 10FP in 308 in a 20" barrel and it is very do-able in the woods and still shoots great out to 300yds.

I've got a 110FP in 25-06 and have dropped two deer with it. It's definitely a ground blind kind of gun. I use 120 grain pellets (100 grain Barnes TSX for Condor Range). It's a very accurate gun and can be loaded with light bullets for varmint/predator hunting. It's not a carry rifle.
Hunting and fishing are not matters of life or death. They are much more important than that.

you guy's crack me up, Where we elk hunt we have a 2000 ft elevation increase within 2 miles of the truck,I'm using a sporter wgt 111gl .270,or my 8x57 turk mauser sporter, and wishin they both were were lighter, I killed a young cow (lung shot)at appx 400 yds with the turk this season, ansd it shoots approx.1.5 m.o.a. to me being able to get into position quickly, and make the shot from field positions trumps small m.o.a. groups every time.

Ditto about the 10fp being heavy.Made the mistake of taking one hog hunting in the brush once.Won't do that again.Only grouch about the 10fp I have is the finish rusts easy.Love the two 10fp's I have but if I got another heavy barrel rifle it would be a different model with a blued or stainless finish.Doesn't stop me from carrying one to the stand but always dry and oil them when done.
