Leupold double dovetail for encore

I have decided to get the Bushnell 3200 3- 9 x 40 scope for my encore. I want to order the Leupold base and double dovetail rings. Will I have enough movement with this combination to get the eye relief right. I have heard that some base-ring-scope combination with this gun won't let move the scope in and out enough.Posted this in the optics forum and here as it could fit either. Thanks, Don

Wow, Im looking at excatly the same set up.I went to buy the bases and rings yesterday but wasnt sure about eye releif. Good Question.

I put the Leupold dual dovetail setup on my new Encore. I mounted a Leupold 6x fixed power scope on it and have no problem with eye relief. I don't know if this helps or not being it's a different scope. Mike

I have oen of the Leupold mounts, but have it on a handgun.... have never tried it on one of my rifles......the only thing I can add, is it doesnt have as much scope movement as my weaver mounts do.... sometimes they almost dont have enough.....but then again I dont have a scope like you are going to use............good luck......ww1

I have the same mounts on my 308 barrel with a tasco exp scope, works great for me!  :toast:

After receiving my 300 win ss barrell i put a Leupold base and double dovetails on it.I got the High mounts and its a good thing.The scope came today ( 4.5-14X50mm) just barely fit without hittiing the Barrel.

As far as eye Releif goes there is plenty with this combination.Im not sure how much different it would be with the Bushnell but it should work... :grin:
