Has any one tried 60gr nosler partions in a 1/14 twist.

Not in a 250, but they would not stablize in a .222 mag.

Tried many years ago and got nothing but shotgun patterns at 100 yds. and keyholes at 200.

With a 1:14 twist the biggest bullet you can stabilze is a 55 grain.
I shoot with a 1:12 twist andI can shoot up to 63grain.
1:9  >  70 grain
1:8  >  77 grain

I have always considered any bullet heavier than 55grs to heavy for a 1 14" twist 22-250 but then I tried some 60gr Sierra HP Varminters @ 3500fps and was amazed at the accuracy I was getting.

Shot my first wolf @ 220 yards with that bullet/cartridge combo... :)

I've never tried a 60gr Partition but I would definately give it a try if I felt the need, I am loading up 55gr Trophy Bonded Bear Claws so don't have the need... :)

I haven't tried those 60gr nosler bullets, but I have shot those 70gr bullets that Speer puts out. They shoot streight and mt 55 HP shoot streight in my 22-250. Its a REM 700
