Recoilpad :  The best I can do for you is give you a quote out of the blue book (A few model 760s were also mnfg in 244 cal. (before going to 6mm rem,) -- vary rare with pricing UNPREDICTABLE.  ENJOY IT :D    JIM

If you reload, the following may be useful. My Remington 700 gave good accuracy with 100 grain Hornady bullets. It did not give good accuracy with 105 grain bullets.

Thats what I would do but first I would get it appraised and then put away until some one with deep pockets came along and wanted it more than me. :D    JIM

244 - twist rate

If your 244 is an original it has a slow twist barrel and may not like 100 or 105 Gr bullets at all.   That is the reason the Remingtoon versio of a 6 mm round went completely on its face vs the 243 Win.  I think the 244 has a 12 and the 243 has a 10.

Recoilpad:  I would start out at a local gun club in the area then a local dealer to get a couple of oppinions as to the condition remember another mans LIKE NEW condition could be anothers worn out, so just get a few figures to work with. :D   JIM
