Trigger replacement and pull weight

I called Timney directly and they said they don't make a trigger for the Savage 210 or the Knight disc elite. Does anyone know of a drop in trigger, or do I have to have the pull set by a gunsmith? If a gunsmith does it, how do I know what a good pull weight would be?

Are the triggers bad or is this a "look ahead" question?  I would say most factory triggers are plenty good enough for hunting,  I would not set a hunting rifle trigger below about three pounds my self, but I will guess there will be plenty here to say they hunt with a 3 ounce one.  Larry

 Don't know about the Savage but I do have 3 Knights. The Knight has to be one of the best M-L triggers out there, at least the 2 of mine that I have shot. Overall 3-4lbs is fine for me.

A good "smith" should be able to smooth up your trigger pull with some very judicious stoning/honing.  Crispness, without drag, or creep is more important than pull weight.
