Changing a front sight on a O.M. Vaquero
« on: October 04, 2008, 10:48:29 AM »
Hi,

Thinking of shortening my 7 1/2" to about 6" and putting a dovetail front sight on it.  Anyone have any pictures of some well executed ones.
I had been thinking of a front band but have decided not to go that far.

Hi All,

Some Very nice revolvers.  Gives me some thought.  Now to start digging through the catalogs.

A further question to those who have removed and re-installed barrels.  When the barrel was replaced did the point of impact change significantly when the barrel was put back on.

it will usually take a little trial and error adjusting but a dovetailed sight will usually give you plenty of ajustment. It doesnt take much movement to more the poa quite a bit.

lloyd, i'll trade my mother-in-laws ashes, a boston terrier, and a milk bone dog biscuit for the bisley or the birdshead.
Dan Deluca aka "warrior1" has passed away.  Dan was a frequent poster here and on several other sites.  He passed away on 12/29/08 from a massive heart attack. RIP Dan.
