This is the one that will put a roll crimp on a 12 ga. shotgun shell. Unlike the easy to use ones that use a roll crimp bit for a portable drill or drill press, this old one requires a motor hook up to make it work efficiently . Sometimes they came with a hand crank connected to an wheel. (That was slow but ok for paper shells.) I am trying to duplicate one that my father had. It disappeared when he passed away. Not surprising.
Any help out there? His was a typical bright Lyman orange color. It had a dual feeding arm and an integral cast base. They were made thru the late 1960's to early 70's. PM me if you would care to part with one.
Here is a pic of the unit with a HAND CRANK. Sorry about the quality of the image. It was taken off of an old Gun Digest .
