« on: September 11, 2008, 01:58:31 PM »
Howdy:

Can anyone tell me where to get trapper or Wolfe springs for these Rugers ? I've been unable to find them anywhere, so far.

Thanks and all the best,

Bob

Thought everyone carried springs of this like.  Best bet, Midway USA or Brownell's.

a redhawk is not the right gun to put a spring kit in. At least not if i you want it to work in DA. Even single action can be iffy with a spring kit. the redhawk unlike the super redhawk relys on one spring for the trigger and hammer and lightening it up just doesnt work well. Its much better to get a competant gunsmith to file on your hammer a touch and smoothen the whole action up some. You will never get a rehawk to be as light and smooth as a smith or even a super redhawk.

I agree, they worked well in my SBH but in my Redhawk they didn't work much at all.

Blkhawk73 +1      When I was doing such things, I just went to the local gun store and pulled them off the rack. They were carried everywhere I used to frequent.
