Early goose season
« on: September 17, 2008, 03:24:55 PM »
for those of us that had/have an early goose season..........how did you do?

My area was almost void of geese this year ,Sept 1-15,...I managed only 1 goose for our group of  3 guys. Had just the 1 shot so far but can't wait for the regular season to start up......now we have some geese around.  :)

Hurricane Ike is keeping me busy and I have not been able to go hunting other than one day for goose and one for teal.

Skunked both days, however I may be able to sneak out a day or two next week.

Averaged about 15 per day with a three man crew.
Best day was 40 with a five man crew.
The birds have just come now that the season is over thats always the way.
Just like the best flock comes in when you are picking up the decoys.   :P
