Older model WebleyMkI .177
« on: September 15, 2003, 02:40:07 PM »
I have an old Webley air pistol in .177 marked 'THE WEBLEY "MARK I" It is kind of beat up, but it shoots well. And I have some of questions about it.

There is a screw which protrudes forward about .5" from the top front of the trigger guard.  Also a smaller screw at the front of the trigger guard on the left side of the pistol that looks like it may be a lock screw for the first (protruding) screw.

I think these screws might have something to do with trigger adjustment, am I right? I have not messed with it - yet  but I am the kind of guy who likes to 'tinker' with things... so my question is, what happens if/when I do mess with it?

Also a hole in the top where the linkage is for cocking the barrel, marked OIL. How often and what kind of oil would be best?

Also, FYI I have a Webley Junior air pistol in 177 as well and it is surplus to my needs, so it is going on the block in the Classifieds in a moment.

Cheers
