There are three kinds of men. The ones that learn by reading, and the few
who learn by observation. The rest of them have to pee on the electric
fence.

You can also look at Beretta's website (as Beretta owns Sako and Tikka).  I forgot the proper address, although I think it's berettausa or something like that.   You can get more precise info there - like actual ordering model numbers, etc.  In fact, you can order the Beretta catalog which has the Sakos and Tikkas.

Berretta owns Sako/Tikka or is the only importer/distributer in the US?

Just keeping you honest Zachary! ;P

Power,
Beretta bought Tikka. I am not sure if they also bought Sako but I do know they own Tikka. If you notice there is no longer a link to Tikka on Sako's sight. Sean

When'd they buy Tikka? I guess I missed it. Tikka needs to update their site then;

First, Tikka and Sako, although both Finnish companies, were separate.  Then, Sako bought Tikka.  Then, Beretta bought Sako. (which obviously includes Tikka).  As such, Beretta is not just the sole distributor in the US.

For those of you who don't know, Beretta also bought Benelli (but you won't see Benelli in Beretta's catalog.

From a corporate structure standpoint, I believe that Beretta is that parent company and Sako and Tikka (either jointly or independently), and Benelli, are the subsidiaries of the parent.

Oh...BTW, Beretta also bought Burris Optics too.

What's Beretta going to buy next?  Mercedes-Benz? Boeing? Citigroup? IBM?  :)
