First, Tikka and Sako, although both Finnish companies, were separate. Then, Sako bought Tikka. Then, Beretta bought Sako. (which obviously includes Tikka). As such, Beretta is not just the sole distributor in the US.
For those of you who don't know, Beretta also bought Benelli (but you won't see Benelli in Beretta's catalog.
From a corporate structure standpoint, I believe that Beretta is that parent company and Sako and Tikka (either jointly or independently), and Benelli, are the subsidiaries of the parent.
Oh...BTW, Beretta also bought Burris Optics too.
What's Beretta going to buy next? Mercedes-Benz? Boeing? Citigroup? IBM?
