My 35 Whelen Handi is not the RMEF version, the barrels may be different lengths.  I use the Sierra 200 gr RN and the Sierra 225 gr SBT.  Best powders are IMR 3031 for both with Accurate 2495 a close second.

A max load of RL15 gets me right at 2900fps with the 225gr TSX, I haven't played with seating depth, but I get 1½" 100yd groups seated to the recommended .050" off the lands in thw 26" RMEF Ultra. Mattparliament got 2815fps in his 22" Handi with the same load, but his accuracy was well under ½". Be aware that was before Barnes published data for the TSX, at the time their loading recommendation was to use their XFB data and work up in ½gr increments to 1½-2grs over the XFB max which is 60gr in the #3 manual. They don't show RL15 data for the 225gr TSX online tho.

have you tried any 200grain bullets with reloader 15 ? im looking for a flat shooting deer bullet , im thinking the 225 and heavier may not expand as much as the lighter bullets being pushed a little faster

The only other round I've shot was the 250gr Speer SP which shot real good regardless of the reputation of heavy spitzer bullets in the 1:16" twist, it may not shoot as well at 300yds, but at 100yds there's no complaints from me.  ;D

I shoot only the 250gr Nosler partition in mine.  I'll have to go to the garage and look up what the load is.  I've only used it to hunt bears from tree stands, so pinpoint accuracy beyond 50 yards is not an issue.  Therefore I have not really worked up an accurracy load, just one that works.  So far three Black Bears and one Grizzly have all gone down and not gotten back up.  All shots were complete pass throughs.  Since it does that to bears think what it would do to a whitetail.
