Kimber still makeing 22's ?
« on: July 20, 2008, 01:21:29 PM »
I've been to the Kimber web site and can't find any reference to their fine 22 rifles. Does anybody know if they stopped makeing them and why?

I had read...I think it was in the Varmint Hunters Association magazine, that Kimber discontinued their .22 rimfiire rifles.  I am not surprised as I have only seen one at a gunshow years ago, nicely finished but expensive.  I also had read that only half of them could shoot as well as the manufacturer claimed.

CZ makes a really good rimfire rifle for alot less money, I have owened 2 of the CZ's.

Maybe Kimber will come out with another rimfire rifle, with the cost of ammo getting so high, I mostly shoot .22 rimfire now.

If you are looking to spend that kind of cash--get a Cooper---much better rifle than Kimber.
