Got the 17HMR with the two new barrels back some time ago. Broke some ribs so couldn't get out to try them out. Mounted scopes on all of them last week and made it to the range today.

17HMR barrel may be the same one but I doubt it. Should have marked the one that came on the rifle but didn't think about it. At any rate I put a cheap scope, BSA "Sweet 22" 2 X 7, on this barrel. Shot half a box of shells getting it zeroed in as I had to shim the mount to get it reasonably close to center of adjustment on the scope. Didn't have this problem before but this mount is somewhat off. Once I found zero the barrel would hold a tight 5/8" group for five shots at 50 yards time after time. This with my shaky hold and a trigger pull of one elephant power. Going to have to do something about that. I had ask them to do a trigger job and it's a bit better but still way to heavy. Between having to shim the mount and how much better this barrel shoots I really think they gave me a different barrel.
22 LR barrel likes Stingers. Mounted an old Burris 3 X 9 I had on the shelf on this one. Scope never has been that great as it has a lot of parallax at 100 yards. Works OK at 50 but Ill be replacing it with one of the Sweet 22s with the range ring like is on the 17 HMR barrel. 22 LR held just under an inch for five shots with the Stingers. Couple other brands opened the groups to inch and a quarter and would string them vertically.
Third tube was the 22 MRF which I put a Leupold 3 X 9 that I've had for years on. This one is also going to get one of the BSA Sweet 22s as soon as the local shop get them in. The barrel shot the best of all of them with consistent half to three quarter inch five shot groups. Shot three different brands thru it and it liked them all fine. In the hands of a good shot this barrel will be a real tack driver once I get the trigger under control.
All in all a great day on the range.
