savage 116wss

What can anyone tell me about a savage model 116wss that I just purchased from a dealer down in Alabama. It is a WSS and not FSS. It has a wooden stock in 300 win.mag.

No W. So i can't help you..........what's different about it? Could be a special run for one of the big distributors.

The only thing I can find different between this rifle and any other model 116 is the "W" in the model number. It seems the "W" would stand for wood, wich it is. Not a black synthetic like all other 116's.
