Moraine Hills State Park
« on: June 13, 2008, 08:13:24 AM »
Hi, even though hunting season is a long way off, i am thinking about getting out into th ewoods! I applied to hunt with my Contender at the Moraine Hills State Park. For those who don't know about it, it is a small park along the Fox River, just south of McHenry. About 1400 acres of the 2200 acre is designated for the handgun season. They don't give out too many permits for th e area and i have never drawn for it. I usually get a tag for Lowden Miller, but this place is only 5 minutes from my house, so i figured that i would try it. Anybody ever hunt there or know anyone that has hunted there for either shotgun/handgun or archery season?  If so, what stands did you use? thanks!

Andy

Andy, first, welcome aboard, tell me more about this hunting area, please? Email is in my profile and would really appreciate more about this hunting site? Are you talking the January season?

Got it thanks, Andy. I'll have to try that?
