Scope a .410 versi pack barrel

Anyone ever tap the barrel and mount a scope to it?

Lots of .410's have been drilled and tapped for scopes. But with the smooth bore you aught to be able to see as far as it will shoot half way good maybe 35-40 yrds tops you might be able to obtain 4" groups w/slugs. Kurt

My versa pack has a .410 has a full choke.  I have been told by many people including the factory not to put slugs thru a full choke.  Quite a few of them said 2 or 3 MIGHT be safe. They say that slugs put to much preasure on the barrel, and so at some point you will split a barrel.

not true at all, old fallacies and stories die hard. Shoot as many slugs out of that barrel as you want, they will not hurt it....<><....:)
