   That sure had alot of recoil, that fella needs to probably use a tighter grip. Also there are videos on You Tube that show women shooting large caliber handguns. You can't hold these guns lightly.....

ELMO, you are so right, you have to hold on tight enough to have some kind of control, but not to tight that you shoot bad. Big bore handguns take a lot of work to master.

I've watched it over and over and really saw nothing that would indicated that his grip was improper.

What should I look for?

Yep, Looks pretty bad, but he didn't break the 90 degree rule. He held it just fine.
