New handi ordered

I ordered the wife a new handi Friday.  She has a SS SB2 in .223, with her shooting south paw I bought her another  handi this time in 7-08.  Having it topped off with a Nikon 3-9x40 pro staff. it is suppose to be in on Friday.  Things go well I'll have a range report and some pics.  The whole thing including scope was $399 not too shabby hope it shoots!

Good choice.  My 7mm-08 shot very well out of the box.  Using Remington Core Loct 140's, it was a matter of walking the shot to the bull after bore sighting.   Very light recoil, as well.

7mm08 is an excellent deer cartridge, and quite a few folks here use it for Elk as well.  I think you will like well enough you may have to get one for yourself. ;D  All 3 of my rifles in that caliber are quite accurate.  Going to give one to the eldest for his first hunting trip this fall.  DP.

I've had a 7-08 almost as soon as they came out.  Never had a problem with accuracy at all and it's in a Remington 700 Mountain rifle.  The one with the full length but skinny barrel.  It's a great caliber and my only problem has been that my son borrows it at the first of the season and returns it at the end of the season.  I will be hunting with my Handi this season since I have a .30/30 barrel on order for it.

I have bought a Box of 140 cor-lokts and I bought a box of speer 145 BT and stuffed them over some IMR 4350 so I'll have a good amount if "test ammo" for our first range session.  Lucky for me my uncle has a 200 yard range in his back yard, open 7 days a week and for a small fee I get to use it! ok I just have to help keep it clean.
