Has an article on the 500 mag Handi-Rifle.  Not as detailed at the Taffin article from last year (or 2 years ago, I can't remember).  For those interested checkout your favorite magazine rack.  The author limited the amount of shooting he did, not because of recoil, but because of the cost of factory ammo....Maybe so, but I bet his shoulder didn't mind either!

Magazine writers especially for big name rags like ST do not pay for their ammo it's all sent free of charge from the ammo makers just as the guns are provided at no cost for the reviews. All it takes is a phone call and in most cases it's likely that isn't even needed as the manufacturers just package the stuff up and send it along expecting the magazine to provide someone to do the review since after all the manufacturers are who pays their salaries.

I wondered about that.  I only skimmed the article at Wally World last night so I may have misread something, but that stuck out in my mind so I dont know.  Layne Pearce (spelling?) was the author.

Most articles are a reflection of the mfg's press release. Whose going to shoot their "paychecks" in the foot by saying anything bad?

I bought that issue last week and read that article yesterday. Did any of you notice he lists the 7MM  Mag and the 300 WM as current offerings from H&R? Dale
